Dear Precinct 1 neighbors,

I am posting this message to provide an update on the October 13, 2026 Special Election for Precinct 1 Town Councilor. 

I have heard from many Precinct 1 voters who erroneously received Precinct 13 mail- ballots and are thus concerned about election integrity.  I have also heard that some Precinct 1 voters who requested corrected mail-in ballots never received them in the US mail, even to this day. As you know, Precinct 1 has many voters who rely upon mail-in ballots to be able to vote.  This includes people who work multiple jobs and are unable to take time off for voting, along with others who may be elderly, disabled, traveling, or otherwise unable to get to the polls.

With these issues in mind, I submitted a Recount Petition on October 22, 2026 to the Barnstable Town Clerk.  I remain concerned that the election results may have been affected by the mail-in ballot problems.  We need to be sure that the vote totals are fully accurate and that no voters have been unfairly denied their opportunity to vote.  A recount will help ensure election integrity and restore the confidence of Precinct 1 voters in the election process.   We take this very seriously and know that pursuing a recount will affect me, the other candidate, and the Town Clerk’s office staff.  But it is even more important to get the election results right and restore confidence in our election process.

Dear Precinct 1 voters,

I am grateful to all of you who supported my campaign. I have a responsibility to all Precinct 1 voters to ensure that the results of the Special Election held on October 13, 2026 are accurate, free, and fair, and that no voters were disenfranchised. Unfortunately, numerous mail-in ballot errors have been reported where Precinct 1 voters incorrectly received Precinct 13 ballots. I have asked the Town Clerk to provide us with data and an explanation of this problem. Thank you for your continued support as this process unfolds.

Why I am running?

I care deeply about our Cape Cod community. Having grown up in Massachusetts and spending summers on Cape Cod, I have come to love the Cape for its natural beauty, New England charm, and historic character. I want this to be available for us now and for future residents and visitors to enjoy.

I am a passionate environmental and community advocate and have served in numerous leadership positions in my community.

Experience Matters

I bring 25+ years of environment and community leadership experience, working on land use and environmental policy matters.  This is hands-on local government experience and is specifically relevant to the work of the Town Council.  I am very familiar with how local government works so I’m ready to work on Day 1 to benefit you, the voters and residents of Precinct 1 and the Town of Barnstable.

The voting location is the Zion Union Church, 805 Attucks Lane, Hyannis.
